Lakshya Sen has won the gold medal in the Commonwealth Games this month. For this reason, he is also being considered as a contender for the title in the World Badminton Championship. In the second round of the World Championship, Lakshya faced world number 74 Luis Enrique Pereira. Perera could not last long in front of a better ranked player. Lakshya Sen defeated them in just 36 minutes. Target’s current ranking is 10

Shortly after Lakshya Sen’s victory, HS Prannoy landed in the court. In front of him was the challenge of world number two Kento Momota of Japan. But world championships are not won by passing an easy challenge. HS Prannoy knows this very well. He also leveled his game in the face of a tough challenge and defeated Kento Momota 21-17, 21-16 to make it to the next round.
