Basit Ali Praises India’s 7-Wicket Win Over Bangladesh in Kanpur

India completed a 2-0 series victory over Bangladesh with a 7-wicket win in the rain-affected second Test in Kanpur. Despite losing two days to rain, India showcased their strength and skill, securing a convincing victory to bolster their chances for the World Test Championship Final 2025.

Former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali praised Team India, highlighting the vast difference between India and Pakistan in world cricket. He stated, “India is miles ahead of Pakistan in cricket. At the moment, only Australia can compete with them.” His exact words were, “India ka Muqabla bas Australia se hi hai, baaki aise hi hai,” emphasizing India’s dominance on the global stage.

Ali also lauded Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, calling it “top-class,” especially as crucial players like Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav were not part of the squad. “Rohit Sharma ki captaincy top class, Abhi toh Shami and Kuldeep nahi the,” he said, recognizing the captain’s strategic brilliance.

India’s impressive performance throughout the series has further solidified its position as a favorite for the World Test Championship Final 2025.
