ISL: ATK Mohun Bagan extends coach Juan Ferrando’s contract for a new seasons

ISL: The management of ATK Mohun Bagan has decided to retain  Juan Ferrando as a coach for the upcoming AFC Cup and 2022-23 season. A new contract was signed after a lengthy discussion with the Spanish coach.

ISL: The performance of Ferrando is the main reason for the Green Maroon camp’s confidence in him. Ferrando took over as head coach of the team in the middle of the Hero Indian Super League. ATKMB players have played a total of 16 matches under his coaching, with the team losing only two.

On April 12, ATK Mohun Bagan will play in an AFC Cup match at Yuva Bharati. Preparations for that match will begin on April 1 at the training facility adjacent to Yuva Bharati. Although it has not been specified clearly as of now about who will be the opponent of ATK Mohun Bagan in the AFC Cup, however, it is assured that the Mariners can see that match sitting in the gallery.

The coach thanked Dr. Sanjiv Goenka, the team’s principal owner, and the team management for entrusting him with the new season.

I had a detailed post-season wrap-up chat with Dr Goenka and we share the same goal and same ideas on what we want and how we want it. After the ISL season, we started to count down the minutes to play in the Yuva Bharati. We are waiting to feel the warmth of the Mariners.”
